It was great to see Adele win this year's Golden Globe award for Best Original Song! Her take on the James Bond movie Skyfall was truly her own style - and she used her songwriting skills and that great voice of hers to provide a remarkable theme to this beloved and always updated spy series! I think the team the Bond film gathered for Skyfall was topnotch this time around - especially with Sam Mendes at the helm and Daniel Craig as James Bond!

Golden Globe 2013 Best Original Song Nominee: Adele - Skyfall
The third nominee for the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song is Adele's Skyfall from the James Bond movie of the same name. It's the only nominee this year that reached the US top 10. It's also the song which I think the voters of the Golden Globes would vote as their winner. Bet you US$20 for that!

Chart Performance: Adele
Adele's fourth top 10 hit in the US, Skyfall, the theme song for the new Bond movie, peaked at #8. Her three previous singles all went to #1 - Set Fire to the Rain, Someone Like You and Rolling in the Deep #1.
