Well, sometimes I discover songs which are already past their release dates.  This happens again this week, as the theme song from the movie The Help, Mary J. Blige's The Living Proof, ascends to the top of my personal countdown.  This happened because I chose Need Someone as my top pick for her album My Life II, which incidentally, also went to #1 in last year.

Ke$ha wins five MyFABEMusic Awards for 2010

Pop singer Ke$ha swept five awards in the 1st MyFABE Music Awards including Artist of the Year, Record of the Year and New Artist of the Year.  She also got nods for Pop Act of the Year and Pop Song of the Year.

Vampire Weekend and Alexis Jordan got two awards each.  Vampire Weekend won the Rock Act of the Year and Rock Song of the Year award for Giving Up the Gun. Alexis Jordan won R&B Act of the Year and R&B Song of the Year for Happiness.

John Mayer got the coveted Album of the Year award for Battle Studies.

Happiness by Alexis Jordan - My #3 Favorite Song of 2010

This is currently the most played song in my Ipod. Aptly titled, 'Happiness', it is also currently my happy song! I dance to it everytime I feel a little blue - and everytime I do that - I envision myself in a beautiful beach - with a warm night breeze cooling the night air - while everyone around me was partying to this song! This song ends at #3 in my year-end list - the highest-ranked party song in my year-end list. And to think, I don't know much about this new girl singer, Alexis Jordan. But she's as cute as a button here! And the guy in the video is hot hot hot too!

One of My Favorite New Songs This Week - Alexis Jordan - Happiness

This is the perfect Christmas song - since it sings about happiness!! I don't know much about the singer Alexis Jordan, although I've seen some Youtube videos which label her as a contestant in America's Got Talent. Anyhow, I am actually surprised that she's very young! She sounds so mature here and this song is such a good dance song, I couldn't believe that the singer is just a teenager! Her voice is so full and round! I can't stop dancing to this though! I just love it!
