Gary Barlow Gets His Third #1 Song in My Personal Countdown



Gary Barlow gets his third #1 song in my personal countdown this week, as Sing, his collaboration with the Military Wives and the Commonwealth Band zooms to #1.  His previous #1's were Shame with Robbie Williams and Walk.

Chart Performance: Gary Barlow


Gary Barlow's fourth #1 song in the UK, Sing, his collaboration with The Commonwealth Band and the Military Wives, slips to #3 this week, after a week at #1.  Here are his top 10 songs in the UK, outside of Take That -

1996 - Forever Love (#1)
1997 - Love Won't Wait (#1)
1997 - Open Road (#7)
2010 - Everybody Hurts (with Helping Haiti) (#1)
2010 - Shame (with Robin Williams) (#2)
2012 - Sing (with The Commonwealth Band and the Military Wives) (#1)

His second #1 album in the UK, Sing, slips to #6 this week, after staying at #1 for a third week.  In 1997, Open Road also went to #1.

Chart Performance: Military Wives


The Military Wives, a choir group formed by Gareth Malone for the BBC TV series, The Choir, has a UK #1 album under their belt, with In My Dreams.  Their second album, Stronger Together, debuts at #5 this week.

This week, their first UK #1 song, Sing, their collaboration with The Commonwealth Band and Gary Barlow slips to #3.

Military Wives Feat. Gareth Malone: Wherever You Are


Military Wives is actually a choir, formed by Gareth Malone for the fourth series of the BBC TV series, The Choir.  This week, their song, Wherever You Are slips to #4 after becoming the Christmas #1 for the UK in 2011.
