Christian Bautista gets his fifth #1 hit in my OPM Top 10 this week, as Araw, Ulap, Langit, moves to the top spot this week. Christian has the most number #1 songs of any OPM artist in my very young OPM countdown.

Zamboanga-based band Maldita has continued to put hits into my OPM top 10 for the past two years.  This week, Tuliro, their fifth top 10 hit from their debut album, moves up from #5 to #4 this week.

FABE OPM Top 10 April 18, 2014: #5 Sam Concepcion - Kontrabida

Kontrabida is one of the songs that Sam Concepcion performed during his No Limitations concert a few weeks ago.  I did not notice the song while I was playing his album but it was when he performed it during the concert, did it make a dent in my OPM top 10.  It moves this week from #6 to #5, his fourth top 10 hit in the FABE OPM countdown.

I actually bought this XLR8 album way back in 2011 yet it's only now that I've been sampling all of the OPM albums I've bought since then and pick tracks from each album and allow them to compete alongside whatever's hot in today's OPM charts. So don't be surprised to see some relatively 'older' songs in my OPM countdown.

The Frozen Soundtrack Puts Four Number One Songs in My Personal Countdown

The soundtrack to the movie Frozen puts four #1 songs in my personal countdown.  Love is an Open Door is the fourth track from that album to go all the way to #1.  It has been sometime ago that a soundtrack album has done that - and most of those which did are movie classics as well.  Top of mind soundtracks that I can recall right now that has duplicated this feat are The Bodyguard and Dirty Dancing. The other #1 songs from this Frozen album are In Summer, Let It Go, Do You Want to Build A Snowman and this week's #1 song, Love is an Open Door.

Love is an Open Door is the fourth #1 hit from the hit Disney musical Frozen.  It finally moves up this week from #2 to #1eek.

The songs from the movie soundtrack of Frozen has been very enduring way after the movie has been shown here in Manila.

Jason Derulo's sixth top 10 hit in the FABE Weekly Top 10, Talk Dirty to Me, moves up this week from #9 to #5.

Revolverheld is a German rock band whose very first top 10 hit in my personal countdown Ich Lass für Dich das Licht an, moves up to #5.  

They are also the first German act to reach my top 10 this year.  Last year, Marteria, Yasha and Miss Platnum reached #1 with Lila Wolken.

Beyonce gets her twentieth #1 song this week as Drunk in Love, her collaboration with husband Jay-z, moves up to #1.  It's also her second #1 from her Beyonce album.

Coldplay returns to the top of the FABE Weekly Top 10 this week with Magic, from their upcoming album, Ghost Stories.  The song moves from #9 to #1 this week.  It's the band's 8th appearance at the top of my personal countdown.
