Excited to See Future Concerts at the Philippine Arena

Thank God for the foresight of our INC brothers!  Sa totoo lang, grabe mag-charge ang SM MOA Arena ng concerts.  Just google the ticket prices that SM MOA Arena charged for the Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, and the cancelled Celine Dion show (among the many shows there) and you'd wonder why Henry Sy would still be that greedy considering how rich he is already.

Compare that with how much the same concert tickets for those artists when they performed in Hong Kong and Singapore and you'd realize, something is wrong with the picture.  Compare it also with how much tickets for an Araneta Coliseum concert is and you'd see how expensively vulgar the ticket prices at SM MOA Arena are! It's either there's a ticket Mafia in SM Tickets or the Sy's are just plain greedy.

Well, the availability of the Philippine Arena should 'democratize' concert ticket prices once again and make world-class entertainment available at reasonable prices to the ordinary middle class.

Finally, Another Opera at the CCP! This Time It's Rigoletto!

CCP’s ‘Rigoletto’ hopes to break the Philippine curse on the opera

I'm not sure if I have the opera recording of Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto in my CD collection but I will definitely check it tomorrow since I learned today that our very own CCP is staging an opera production for it.

However, there are only going to be two shows for it so better  get your tickets now!  I will most likely watch the matinee since I hate Friday night traffic!!

I really hope I have the opera recording of it since I want to 'know' the opera before I watch it - to make me appreciate it better.

Yum Yum Glee Hunk Harry Shum Jr.

I haven't been watching Glee for sometime now, but I just can't help it when I saw pictures of him and his wonderful abs!  OMG! He not only can sing well, his body is to die for!

He can get shummy with me anytime! =)

Throwback Album of the Week: Norah Jones - Come Away With Me

The music of the 2000's wouldn't be complete without mentioning Norah Jones' work, especially her beautiful debut album, Come Away With Me.

It's my throwback album of the week and listening to it again more than 12 years since it came out doesn't make her work sound dated at all.  It still sounds as fresh as it sounded when it came out, and I wouldn't be surprised if it still tops the charts now, as it did then.  Her music here is just the complete antithesis of what was going on in music at that time.

It was really like having a breath of fresh air flow along the airwaves and placed everyone in that relaxed, languid and happy mood!

Definitely a treasure to keep for the ages!
