My Favorite Songs of 2011: #11 Marsha Ambrosius - Far Away

It was the video of the song that really caught me off guard at first, but soon enough, I began to really like the song. Marsha sings it so beautifully too!

Oh my God!! This is my most favorite video this year simply because of its message of tolerance. Thanks Marsha for spreading this message of tolerance! Sorry about your friend. We can fight this war of intolerance one step at a time. And killing ourselves is definitely not the solution. So it's important to love yourself first so that you'd value your being and not let other people trample on you.

Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry goes Top 10 On Her Own

Marsha Ambrosius, formerly of Floetry, gets her first solo Top 10 album in the US with Late Nights and Early Mornings.  This week, the album slips to #10.  It debuted at #2, its current peak position. 

I still have to discover the music of Marsha but I'm not surprised she gets to the Top 10 on her first try.  I guess she has enough fans from Floetry to support her move to go on her own.
