The Prince Song That I Would Dance In Body Jam For

If there is going to be a Body Jam tribute to Prince, this is the song that really comes to mind for me.  I was silently ecstatic when the Les Mills people included it in their playlist, I think a decade ago.

And the choreography they did was simple but interesting and very 80s as well. I'm sure many of the 80s babies who were into Body Jam silently loved dancing to this one!

I never outwardly requested it before but I always enjoyed dancing to this when an instructor included it in his or her mix and match playlist.

My Most Favorite Prince Song

THIS is my most favorite Prince song - and he didn't even sing it.
At 19, when it was such a big hit, I had never even fallen in love yet so it was just one of those hit songs.
It was only 20 years later when the message of the song really hit me. You'd have to undergo a real breakup to appreciate the gravitas and the sparsity of the song's arrangement.
This may be one of the reasons a lot of people can't move on. Because "Nothing Compares 2 You".

Remembering the Love Song Madonna and Prince Sang Together

As a tribute to Prince, I am sharing to you his collaboration with the Queen of Pop, Madonna, and from the first note, you can immediately tell that THIS was a Prince song.
I just love this Love Song. I wonder why Madonna never released it as a single.
Prince's imprint is just unmistakably here. The falsetto voice, the coy guitar licks and Madonna plays along with him. Truly a hidden gem.

RIP My Raunchy Prince

Another genius who shaped the music of the 80s is gone.

The sadder thing is Prince doesn't allow any of his music on Youtube, which could've been the easiest way for today's generation to get to know what a trendsetter he was.

I cannot find some of my favorite "obscure" songs of his and have to content myself with my meagre CD collection of his work which started 1982's 1999 and ended with 1996's Emancipation.

Now may be the best time for me to discover his work after that period because like David Bowie, this guy never stopped creating new music.
