Grammys 2012 Nominee: Bon Iver

Bon Iver gets several Grammy nominations this year, including for Record and Song of the Year.  He's also nominated for Best Alternative Music Album for his self-titled album. The song above, Skinny Love, comes from that album.  It's his first nomination for the Alternative Music Album category

Discovering Bon Iver

Thanks to the Grammy Awards, I discovered another interesting act this year in Bon Iver. Frankly, I wouldn't have known this guy if not for the nominations he got for Record and Song of the Year. Holocene is a hauntingly beautiful song - it's actually a dark horse to win those prestigious awards. I won't be surprised if this guy wins an award or two Grammy night.

Bon Iver Gets First US Top 10 Album

Bon Iver, an American indie folk band, gets their first US Top 10 album this week, as their self-titled album debuts at #2.
