You just have to hand it to John Williams to come up with the perfect soundtrack for any type of movie given to him. Last year, I was impressed with what he did for War Horse. This time, the Golden Globe voters has given him another nomination for Lincoln - and the soundtrack sounds stately, respectful, a bit forlorn but dignified - just what you want for a movie about a very distinguished man.
