Remembering David Bowie's Music: The Aborigines of Let's Dance

I was introduced to the eclectic rock music of David Bowie at the age of 12 when his worldwide hit, Let's Dance became a popular dance song in our soirees.

This video was very memorable for me because it was the first time I was introduced to the Aboriginal people of Australia. Most people think that the white people were the original people of Australia, but just like the United States, there were already indigenous people living there before the white men came and imposed their way of life.

Thanks to David Bowie, there was a side of Australia that I saw at a very young age, which most young people don't even see today because the Aborigines, like our Aetas, don't get too much exposure in popular culture.
