An intrepid follower of the video commented that this song should've been the theme song of the megahit movie Praybeyt Benjamin!! I second the motion!! Actually, this song summarizes what Vice Ganda has done to all gay men here in the Philippines. By being just his own person, Vice has become some kind of role model for all kinds of gay men - paminta, cross dressers, etc, etc. And it's quite ironic that it had to be a very macho band, Siakol, who had the guts to sing of tolerance and love and respect for gay people! Thanks Siakol for spreading the message of tolerance and acceptance to everyone!

My Favorite OPM Songs of 2011: #2 Daryl Leong - Sa Muling Pagtatagpo
As the credits for the movie, Ligo Na U, Lapit Na Me, was rolling up, this song comes into play, and I immediately took notice of how great it sounded! I tried my best to remember the lyrics since I wanted to search for it online. I really thought Edgar Allan Guzman sang it but I discovered later it was Daryl Leong. It's really a pity the song hasn't garnered much radio play but it has a very loyal Internet following. I am not even sure if that is Daryl Leong in the picture! I just based it on what Google gave me hahha!!
Tragedy is, the song is not even in Youtube! I found it in a Tumblr account of a fan of the movie so I will post the link here so you can hear the song from there - http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/sa+muling+pagtatagpo - it's definitely one of the best written songs of 2011 - and best sung too! Bravo Daryl!!

My Favorite OPM Songs of 2011: #3 Chris Cayzer - Drive
It's a pity that Chris Cayzer decided to go back to Australia to pursue his music career there. I can't blame him. With piracy and other challenges musicians have to face now, at least there, he will surely get the royalties for his songs. Anyway, before he left, he released this wonderful song called Drive! I loved the song so much it was my #1 for weeks! He does sound like John Mayer here - but well, all singers have their influences. It's clear Mayer is an influence to Cayzer!

My Favorite OPM Songs of 2011: #19 Sam Milby - Hindi Kita Iiwan
I actually didn't know that Sam Milby could actually carry a tune. Yeah, I know he had some albums and shows before but I never thought he'd have a song that I would actually like! Anyway, this is a very mushy song from him but I like it! He actually sings it very well.

My Favorite OPM Songs of 2011: #20 Sarah Geronimo - Kung Siya Ang Mahal
I admit I don't really Sarah Geronimo that much, but this song of hers, Kung Siya Ang Mahal, was one of my favorite songs this year. She sings it so well, sans the usual histrionics, and just uses her voice beautifully to express the sentiments of the song.
My Favorite OPM Songs of 2011: #21 Christian Bautista - All That's Left
Christian Bautista makes a comeback this year, at least in my personal charts, as he places two songs in my year end countdown. His latest hit, All That's Left, comes in at #21 for the year.
