Morrissey In Manila
I was first introduced to Morrissey's music when his song, The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get became his only song to ever chart in Billboard's Hot 100 in 1994. You should understand that prior to 2010, I only paid scant attention to the UK charts, not like today, so although I've heard of him because of his albums, Vauxhall and I and Southpaw Grammar, which both went Top 25 in the US, I am not entirely familiar with his discography.
He is a favorite though of some of my friends, who even sings his songs in our local karaoke! I won't be surprised if people will troop to his show here in Manila on May 13!
