The torchbearer of angst in the mid-90s is now a first-time mother and her first single from her latest album, Havoc and Bright Lights, out this August, is aptly entitled 'Guardian'. I've practically loved everything Alanis has dished out since her first album - as each of her albums have been accurate portraits of where she was at that point in her life. Throughout her career - her songwriting has always reflected her honest feelings and I'm sure it will be the same thing in her new album. I am so looking forward to listening to it. For now, just give a listen to her first single -
