My Weekly Top 40 June 21, 2013: #27 Jack White - On and On and On

Jack White's very first top ten hit in my personal countdown, On and On and On, has already peaked at #4.  This week, it slips to #27.  It was my third pick from his Grammy-nominated album, Blunderbuss.

A Rap Song Finally Tops My Personal Countdown This Year

Two rap songs topped my personal countdown in 2012, 212 by Azealia Banks and Gangnam Style by Psy.  The latter went on to become the biggest song in my personal countdown last year.  ASAP Rocky, Skrillex and Birdy Nam Nam finally each get their very first #1 hit in my personal countdown this week, as Wild For the Night, moves a notch to #1.

Mika gets his thirteenth #1 hit this week as Celebrate, his collaboration with Pharrell, zooms this week from #10 to #1.  This is Pharrell's third trip to the top as well

It has been quite a while since a country song topped my personal countdown.  I won't really count Taylor Swift as a country singer as some of her songs sound like a pop song.  Anyway, this week, Blake Shelton moves from #4 to #1 with Sure Be Cool If You Did, making it his first #1 song in my personal countdown.
