My Favorite Songs of 2011: #33 Next to Normal - I Miss the Mountains
I saw several musicals this year, and from those musicals, two have made entries into my yearend list. The first one comes from the Broadway winning musical, Next to Normal. This is my favorite song from that musical - I Miss the Mountains. I immediately noticed it when I listened to the cast album. It's a very poignant musical about how a woman is coping with her mental illness. I suggest you watch the musical if ever it's staged in your city. Thanks to the local Atlantis Productions, it has been staged here several times already.
