I was not the least bit surprised when the Grammy voters gave nods to fun. for Album, Record and Song of the Year noms and Best New Artist as well. This group has crafted two of the best pop songs of the year - We Are Young and Some Nights, which is a personal favorite of mine!). Funny, but when I hear these guys sing, I think of the 80s legendary group Queen. Listen to their vocals, their clever musical arrangements, their made for stadium concert choruses - and well, the lead singer appears to be gay too - the influence of Queen is just all over the place. I still have to find out though in interviews if they have been channeling the group for their work here.
