The best concerts I've attended are usually
the ones where the real fans are in attendance, not the fans who only
know the band's radio hits. This was evident tonight as from the
get-go, thousands of fans of the band Foster the People, sang
along to songs from their first album, and only one of those songs was
ever played on the radio. So this was really the show where the
hardcore fans went! And watching them just react to the band was
electrifying! Just from my vantage point, you could see thousands of
neon sticks moving in unison to the band's songs, it was so beautiful to
watch! Frankly, I only like maybe 5 of the band's eleven song set last
night but I admit I was swept up by the energy of the very young crowd.
Nothing, nothing really beats the energy of young people, especially
in a concert!
