Luigi D'Avola

I don't really know the timeline of the hits of Luigi D'Avola, as to when they were released.  What I know is that these songs peaked in my personal countdown at the years designated.  His song Into Your Arms is already at #2 in my OPM countdown and is poised to be his first ever #1 song in my OPM countdown.

He's one of the artists I'm quite interested to see live! I really hope to see him live soon!

Angeline Quinto Makes It Four #1 Songs from One Album

Angeline Quinto becomes the first local artist to get four #1 songs from one album.  Christian Bautista had three #1 songs in my OPM countdown from his exemplary Outbound album.  This week, Angeline does one better.  Kunin Mo Na Ang Lahat Sa Akin, Wag Mo Akong Iwang Mag-Isa, and Patuloy ang Pangarap, all went to #1.  This week, Pang-Habang Panahon makes it hit #4 to go all the way to #1.

Of course, she had the advantage of me listening to her CD, which is kinda difficult for me since I don't really have much time to listen to everyone's CD.  It's more of a luck of the draw thing.

Anyway, here are my ten favorite OPM songs for the week ending March 8, 2013 -

#1 Angeline Quinto - Pang-Habang Panahon (#2)

#2 Juris - Hanggang Wakas (#9)

#3 Toni Gonzaga - Kahit Na (#1)

#9  Luigi D'Avola - Take A Chance (#10)

#10 Gloc-9 / Kamikazee - Kunwari (NEW)

Somedaydream Dishes Out Something New

You just have to hand it to this guy, Rez Toledo, who goes under the name Somedaydream, to come up with something fresh and inspirational!  I just heard his new single, It's Your Life, and it's up there with his Hey Daydreamer release last year!  He has certainly matured now - a lot I think and he's becoming more and more sophisticated with the way he mixes the sounds and the instruments.

It's quite refreshing to hear Champ Lui Pio here too - and there's also a newcomer Luigi D'Avola.  You also have to check out the fantastic video!  It's a beautiful mishmash of the kinetic sports images, discrete actions from the best of each sport.  Lovet!
